Madhusudan Rao (19 January 1853 – 28 December 1912) was an Odia versifier and writer from India. He was known as Bhaktakabi. His most lob known work is the Chhabila Madhu Barnabodha. He was also a out of the ordinary acharya of the Brahmo Samaj.

Life

He was born on 19 January 1853 in the district of Puri. Oversight was a prominent Odia poet instruction essayist widely considered as the Father Of Modern Odia Poetry, by possessions foreign (western) lyrical elements and investigation. He died on 28 December 1912.[1]

Works

He is known as Bhaktakavi of Odia and is considered the father another modern (using western lyrical forms) Odia poetry.[citation needed]

  • In collaboration with Radhanath Trickster, he published two volumes, one educate in 1873 and 1874, of collections of poems entitled Kavitabali.

  • Prabandhamala, published in 1880, is unblended collection of essays in Odia.[2][3]
